미국주식 영문 재무제표(Financial Statement) 보는법

오늘은 여러분들과 함께 미국주식 재무제표에 대해서 쉽게 알아보고자 재무제표 찾는법, 용어정리를 해보았습니다. 부디 여러분들에게 조금이나마 도움이 되었으면 합니다. 

1, 회사 분기실적, 연간실적 보고서 찾는법

 1) 구글에서 각 회사 띄우고 IR로 검색해서 Financial Data 메뉴에서 확인 

 2) SEC.gov(미국 증권거래위원회) 공시자료로 검색 (https://www.sec.gov/edgar/searchedgar/companysearch.html 접속 후 우측 Quick Search에서 티커SBUX 입력)

   - 보고서 유형(Form): 10-K(연간실적보고서), 10-Q(분기실적보고서)

 3) 재무제표는 보고서 목차를 먼저 보고 10-K보고서 ITEM.8 / 10-Q보고서 ITEM.1에서 확인가능

2. 재무제표 구성

재무제표는 크게 3가지로 구성된다.  세부적으로는 5가지로 작성된다. 실제 또한 대부분의 기업들은 연결재무제표(Consilidated Condensed Financial Statement, 연결요약재무제표)를 작성하여 공시함 

Consolidated 연결의 의미는 쉽게 설명하면 모회사와 자회간의 거래를 제외한 것이다. 내부거래로 실적을 부풀릴 수 있으므로 이부분을 조정하여 작성한 재무제표라고 보면 되겠다. 

  1) Income Statement - 손익계산서(얼마나 장사를 잘했냐) 

     *  Comprehensive Income Statement - 포괄손익계산서(자회사 실적까지 포함)

  2) Balance Sheet - 대차대조표 또는 재무상태표(자산, 부채, 자본은 어떤 변동사항이 있는가)

     *  Shareholder's Equity Statement - 자본변동표(지분변동 등) 

  3) Cash Flow - 현금흐름표(실제로 현찰이 얼마나 들어가고 나갔는지)

3. 재무제표 세부 구성항목 ★ 기업별로 세부 구성항목의 차이는 있을 수 있습니다.

  1) Income Statement 손익계산서

Income Statement(모기업 손익계산서, 자회사 손익 제외)

Net revenue 총매출

Cost of sales 매출원가

Gross margin 매출총이익(총매출-매출원가)

Research and development 연구개발비

Marketing, general and administrative 기업의 판매, 관리 유지에 들어가는 모든 비용

Amortization of acquisition-related intangibles 무형자산상각비

Operating expenses 영업비용

Operating income 영업이익

Gains (losses) on equity investments, net 지분투자이익

Interest and other, net 이자비용

Income before taxes 세전이익

Provision for taxes 세금충당금

Net income 순이익

Earnings per share – basic 주당순이익(현재 발행주식 총수로 나눔)

Earnings per share – diluted 주당순이익(현재 총주식수에 미래에 보통주로 전환될 주식수까지 더해서 계산)

Comprehensive Income Statement(모회사+자회사까지 포함한 손익계산서)

Net income 순수익 

Changes in other comprehensive income, net of tax: 기타 포괄손익 변동사항, 세후(net of tax)

Other comprehensive income (loss) 기타 포괄손익/손실

Total comprehensive income 포괄손익합계 

  2) Balance Sheet

Assets 자산 

Current assets 유동자산(1년 이내 현금화 또는 소비될 것으로 예상되는 자산)

Cash and cash equivalents 현금 및 현금 자산

Short-term investments 단기투자자산(1년 이내 현금화 가능 자산, 단기 대여금 포함)

Trade and other receivables, net 매출채권(물건팔고 받을 돈) 

Inventories 재고자산

Prepaid expenses and other current assets 선급비용 또는 기타유동자산

Total current assets 유동자산 합계

Long-term investments 장기 투자자산

Property and equipment, net 유형자산

Intangible assets, net 무형자산

Equity investments 유가증권 투자자산

Deferred income taxes, net 이연법인세(이월하여 연기한 법인세)

Other long-term assets 기타비유동자산

Goodwill 영업권

TOTAL ASSETS 자산합계

Liabilities and stockholders’ equity 부채 및 주주자본

Current liabilities 유동부채(1년 이내에 상환해야하는 채무)

Accounts payable 매입채무(외상매입금과 지급어음)

Accrued and other current liabilities 미지급 및 기타유동부채

Accrued compensation and benefits 미지급 퇴직급여 및 이익분배기금

Capital lease obligation 금융리스

Deferred revenue 이연수익 또는 이연매출(선수금)

Total current liabilities 유동부채 합계

Long-term liabilities 비유동부채(장기부채)

Other long-term liabilities 기타 비유동부채

Total liabilities 부채합계

Commitments and contingencies 위임과 임시 지출

Stockholders’ equity 주주자본(자본잉여금, 이익잉여금 등을 포함)

Common stock 보통주

Additional paid-in capital 자본잉여금(액면가보다 높은 가격으로 주식을 발행한 경우 등)

Retained earnings/(deficit) 이익잉여금

Total stockholders’ equity 주주자본 합계

Total liabilities and stockholders’ equity 부채 및 주주자본 합계

  3) Cash Flow 

OPERATING ACTIVITIES: 영업활동 현금흐름

Net earnings including noncontrolling interests 남에게 줘야할 이자수익을 포함한 순이익

Adjustments to reconcile net earnings to net cash provided by operating activities: 실제 현금의 흐름이 없는 손익을 순이익에 포함하는 조정 

Depreciation and amortization 감가상각(만원어치 감가상각되었다고하면 실제 만원이 나가지 않았으므로 다시 추가 해줘야겠죠)

Deferred income taxes, net 이연소득세

Stock-based compensation 주식기준보상(고급인력 확보를 위한 인센티브 제도)

Goodwill impairments 영업권 상각 

Other 

Cash provided by changes in operating assets and liabilities:

Accounts receivable 매출채권 

Inventories 재고 

Accounts payable 매입채무 

Deferred revenue 이연수익

Other operating assets and liabilities 기타 영업 자산 및 채무

Net proceeds from the divestiture of certain operations 자회사 매각 또는 기업분할하여 얻은 돈

Net cash used by investing activities 투자활동에 사용된 순현금

 

FINANCING ACTIVITIES: 재무활동 현금흐름

Proceeds from issuance of long-term debt 장기회사채 발행하여 얻은 돈 

Repayments of long-term debt 장기부채 상환 

Proceeds from issuance of common stock 보통주 발행하여 얻은 돈 

Cash dividends paid 현금배당 지급 

Repurchase of common stock 자사주(보통주) 매입 

Minimum tax withholdings on share-based awards 주식보상에 따른 세금 원천징수 

Other 

Net cash used by financing activities 재무활동에 사용된 순현금 

Effect of exchange rate changes on cash and cash equivalents 환율변동에 따른 현금변화

Net increase in cash and cash equivalents 순현금흐름 

CASH AND CASH EQUIVALENTS:

Beginning of period 기초 현금흐름

End of period 기말 현금흐름 

SUPPLEMENTAL DISCLOSURE OF CASH FLOW INFORMATION

     ※ Free Cash Flow: Net cash provided by operating activities - Capital Expenditure  (영업활동에서 뺄거 빼고 호주머니에 실제로 남은 돈) → Free Cash Flow는 야후 파이낸스에서도 바로 확인가능
